
If it will take you less than 5mins… do it now!
Part of changing our habits and learning to live a healthier lifestyle is by making small, CONSISTENT changes, over time. One way of doing this is to try this exercise!
What is something you can do NOW that will better prepare you for the (near) future?
For example:
- Setting your alarm to go off 5mins earlier than normal to get a jump on the day
- Going to bed 5mins before you usually do in order to get a head start on recovery.
- Prepping your lunch prior to going to bed
- Arriving to work or a meeting 5mins before needed so that you are calm, focused and ready to go
- Cutting up your chicken in the morning for the stir-fry you will have for dinner that night.
- Making your dinner in the afternoon so that it’s ready whenever you want to eat it later on in the evening (one-pot wonders are GREAT for this!)
- Stopping at the petrol station as you pass by instead of leaving it until the morning of a big trip when you are already rushed.
- Running the vacuum over the carpet and kitchen to tidy up (no, you don’t have to vacuum the whole house every time you get the vacuum out!)
- Pull a few weeds out of the garden as you’re walking past
