Bliss Balls – 10mins tops!

Blissballs

Heather’s Classic…

I just chuck whatever I want in here!! But this is the basic recipe… A yummy sweet treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of assorted nuts/seeds (I usually use whatever is in the house: cashews, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, they all work great). You could also put in goji berries, chia seeds, etc… experiment!
  • 1 cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups of dates (approximately)
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil (as required to make it stick together nicely)
  • 1-2 scoops of Protein Powder (optional, but a nice touch :))

Method

  1. Add the nuts and coconut into a food processor and blitz until broken into little bits. Add the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Depending on what you put in the mix it could be really sticky, or sort of crumbly. *** Roll in extra coconut if you wish
  3. I have made it into balls; or put in a slice tin and cut it up; and just recently I’ve been putting them into little muffin tins so that I have perfect portions.
  4. Pop in the freezer to harden up, then transfer to a Tupperware container and keep in the freezer or fridge. *** Putting them in the freezer means they last longer AND they take longer to eat 😉
