I’ve always loved the saying:
“Do something every day that scares you”
Not in the way that a skydive scares you (well, this scares some people!)…
I mean those things that force you (nudge you) to GROW!
How do you know if it scares you?
Usually things that are “different” or slightly outside of our comfort zone have a tendency to make us feel more alert, responsive, maybe even a little nervous? This is the place that we’re looking for 😉
As mentioned above, it doesn’t need to come from extreme sports either!
It could come from something as simple as:
- Writing an email or making a phone call to enquire about a job
- Signing yourself up for a new sport that you’ve never played (being the BEGINNER again!)
- learning a new hobby that you’ve never tried
- Saying sorry when you’ve done something to hurt someone
- Standing up for yourself or others when necessary (not staying the quite bystander)
- Striking up a conversation with someone new in your existing workplace or club (not just talking to the same people you always talk to)
No need to overcomplicate things:
New job, new skill, new sport, new attitude, new approach, new viewpoint, new environment, new learning…
Don’t stay the same.
Grow. Evolve. Change. Explore. Level up.
